The best way to make the connections you need to succeed at Marymount Manhattan College is to attend New Student Orientation. Whether you are a freshman or transfer, commuter or residential student, or an international student, the program is designed to help you learn your way around campus and New York City, discover ways to get involved in student life, meet faculty and staff and make new friends. Plan to attend all New Student Orientation activities!

Freshman Orientation

The First Year Student Orientation Program is designed to help new students get acclimated to Marymount Manhattan College and New York City. There are a variety of workshops, seminars, and social events that will allow new students to become familiar with their new community as well as make new friends in the process. New students will be paired with a Peer Leader a current MMC student leader, who will walk them through the entire program. Peer Leaders will ensure new students are at all sessions and will be available to answer questions about MMC or the surrounding community.

Things You Should Know...

  • New students will be paired with a Peer Leader (current MMC student) who will walk them through the entire Orientation program.

  • Due to our space constraints, we cannot accept your shipped belongings ahead of time.
    Please do not send anything ahead of time to MMC or the residence halls. All belongings must be moved on your assigned day of new student move-in.

  • All Orientation events are informal - dress is casual and appropriate for weather.
    New York City is very warm in August and very cool in January. Dress comfortably and wear your walking shoes!
