Reception at National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC On February 17, 2013, President Judson R. Shaver, Ph.D. and Jason Rosenfeld, Ph.D. were joined by Marymount Manhattan College alumni, parents, current students and friends at a reception at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Professor Rosenfeld, distinguished chair and Professor of Art History, co-curated an exhibit for the Gallery and spoke at a lecture, Pre-Raphaelites: Victorian Avant-Garde, with his co-curators following the reception. The strength of Marymount Manhattan today was built solidly upon the foundation envisioned and created by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. This event honored the Sisters for the values that they instilled in Marymount Manhattan and its alumni. View Gallery New York Cares Day 2012 On October 13, 2012, alumni and students from Marymount Manhattan College helped revitalize PS 166 Q — Henry Gradstein in Astoria, N.Y. on New York Cares Day. Volunteers painted a welcoming mural on the front of the school, spruced up the playground, and helped organize the school's library.
