- How will the College help me make the transition back to an academic setting?
MMC offers several transitional programs for students returning to college or attending college for the first time. The Office of Adult and Transfer Services provides consistent, individualized support, information, and assistance in the enrollment process, financial aid and transfer credit evaluations throughout your college experience.
- How are my transfer credits being evaluated?
The College evaluates transfer credits on a course-by-course basis. An advisor places your transfer credits into MMC's Core and Shared Curriculum and major requirements, so students can see exactly where their courses fit in with MMC's degree requirements.
- If I went to college 20 years ago, will I lose credits?
No college transcript is too old for us to evaluate, as long as we receive an official transcript from the school.
- Can MMC help me figure out how to finance my education?
The College offers a number of scholarship, grant, and loan options for part- and full-time adult students. Our financial aid counselors are dedicated to helping you find ways to fund your education.
- How flexible is class scheduling?
Class scheduling is very flexible. We offer classes on evenings and weekends, as well as during the daytime.
- How long will it take me to get my degree?
Because every student's academic history is different, each student works with an advisor to create his or her own individual degree plan.
- How can I get on the fastest track to my BA degree?
The advisor will help you plan an academic program that includes transfer credits, intensive summer and January semesters, internships that allow you to use your current job, Prior Learning Assessment credit, and nontraditional ways to earn credit.
