MMC and Me

Why did you choose to come to Marymount Manhattan?

I chose Marymount Manhattan because of the small classes and connections I heard the school had with companies. I also chose it because it is in the heart of New York City. I had a couple of friends attend the school who are now doing incredible things in their professions like starring in Glee and other production companies.

What clubs, organizations or activities do you participate in at MMC?

I volunteer at our campus' Strawberry and Apple Fest. I also participate in Soldiers of Hip Hop.

What has been your favorite class taken at the college? Why?

Themes in Video: Web Video Activism. It's taught by Giovanna Chesler and it was the first time I had her as a professor. I have never learned so much or been so interested in Video Activism. I also learned so many things about being professional, conducting meetings, and actually doing real-life work. She's my all-time favorite professor here and I suggest everyone take a class with her even if you're not a Comm. Major, it's completely worth it!

Do you have a favorite memory from your time here so far?

My favorite memory from my time here so far is through an internship working for Frank PR for the Hamptons International Film Festival. I made a lot of connections and was able to learn how to produce photography and feature films.
