There are many ways to give to This is the Day, the campaign for Marymount Manhattan. You can make a charitable gift of cash or stock; donate in honor of an alumna/alumnus, friend or family member; or take advantage of planned giving opportunities as described below. All gifts to Marymount Manhattan are tax-deductible.
Cash contributions by check or credit card offer the easiest ways to give. Checks
should be made payable to Marymount Manhattan College - Campaign. The College also
accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Gifts can be made by mail, over the
phone or on our secure Web site.

Appreciated marketable securities offer an attractive and convenient way to give to the campaign. Donors receive a tax deduction for the market value of the securities they donate (calculated on the date of the transfer), avoiding payment of capital gains tax on the stock's appreciated value. Many companies match employee, retiree and family contributions to educational institutions, doubling or sometimes tripling the amount of your gift. To initiate a matching gift, obtain the appropriate form from your employer's human resources department and send the completed form, along with your own donation, to MMC.
Donors are welcome to make a gift to the campaign as a pledge to be paid in installments over as many as five years.
Marymount Manhattan welcomes campaign gifts made in memory of or in honor of alumni, faculty or other individuals of special importance to our donors. To make a memorial or honorary gift, follow any of the procedures described above, making sure to identify the individual you intend to honor or memorialize. Upon receipt of such a gift, the Office of Institutional Advancement will mail a receipt to the donor and notify the honoree, or, in the case of a memorial gift, a designated individual or family member.
There are a number of options for planned gifts, including charitable gift annuities, trusts, retirement plan assets, life insurance, and real estate. We would be pleased to work with you and your advisor to ensure the development of the most effective type of planned gift which meets your personal and financial objectives.
