Richard Garrett, Associate Professor of Economics, earned his Ph.D. in Economics from The New School of Social Research and has done graduate work at the Cornell-Baruch School of Industrial Relations. He teaches management courses and macroeconomics and is currently a consultant to the entertainment industry and to nonprofit international labor solidarity organizations. Before coming to Marymount, he was Associate Director of Research for the Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile employees.
