Major Barbara and Our Town in Context: Interdisciplinary Dialogues - Dialect and Movement in Performance: Reflections on the Fall MMC Productions

November 17, 2008
Date: Monday, November 17
Time: 7:15-8:30pm
Location: 8th Floor, Main Building, Marymount Manhattan College
Contact: Please feel free to contact Jill Stevenson (jstevenson@mmm.edu) with any questions.

Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Barbara Adrian, Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders Sue Behrens, and Associate Professor of Dance Haila Strauss will discuss how MMC students used dialect and movement to create the different worlds and contexts of Major Barbara and Our Town.

This four-part dialogue series gathers together faculty members from across the college to explore the MMC fall productions of Major Barbara and Our Town from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. These discussions will engage the plays as responses to and reflections of history. We hope they enrich your viewing of the MMC productions. These events are free and open to the entire MMC community and to the public. All dialogues will begin at 7:15 PM.
