Professor Anthony Ferro Dance Performance: under-friction

Associate Professor of Dance Anthony Ferro will present an informal showing of his new solo dance, under-friction. Professor Ferro, in collaboration with first-year student and Dance major Meghan Murphy, produced a video composition to accompany the production. Murphy is a BA candidate double majoring in Dance & Media and Communication Arts. Take a few minutes to relax by enjoying some conversation about art and the creative process.
A Q&A with Ferro and Murphy will conclude the event.
Transforming current scholarship into a multi-disciplinary statement with zest and imaginative poetics, Ferro’s solo couples inspirational elements from Russian film maker Andrei Tarkovsky and New York composer Annie Gosfield.
Professor Ferro will be performing a full evening of works at the Merce Cunningham Studio, January 9 & 10, 2009.
