HEWITT GALLERY OF ART: Reception for "The Life and Art of Sr. Judith Savard" Exhibit

Join us on Thurs., Sept 16, 2004 as we introduce the first exhibit of the season, which celebrates the life and art of Sr. Judith Savard, RSHM.

Sr. Savard, a recognized artist who passed away in May 2004, was a well-respected teacher and vital presence in the College's programs in art history and studio art. Her accomplishments include design and art direction of seven Full Circle anthologies and three books on creativity by Paulist Press. She had eleven solo exhibits of her large abstract acrylics and watercolors. She also had three solo exhibits of her computer art. This exhibit includes graphic design, watercolors, acrylics and Cibachrome prints of digital abstractions.

Time: 6-8pm

This exhibit will run from Sept 13 through Oct 14, 2004.

A commemorative service for Sr. Judith Savard, RSHM, will be held on Sept 30 at 7pm at Marymount Manhattan College in The Great Hall, First Floor, Main Building.
