Charter Day Honors Faculty and Staff

(New York, NY) Marymount Manhattan College celebrated 330 years of combined service to the College on March 9. Charter Day is the celebration of the day the College received its independent charter on February 21, 1961.

| | The event offered MMC faculty and staff an opportunity to engage and celebrate the college's charter and to recognize colleagues who have dedicated many years of service to the college.
This year, 18 honorees were recognized. Honorees included Mona Cutolo, M.A., Associate Professor of Sociology (40); Mary Fleischer, Ph.D., Professor of Theatre Arts (30); Victor White, Maintenance Mechanic (30); Donald Williams, Pd.D., Associate Professor of Psychology (30); Carmen Jackman-Torres '92, B.A., Administrative Assistant for the Division of Accounting and Business Management (25); Haila Strauss, M.A., Associate Professor of Dance (25); Quincy Harper, Maintenance Mechanic (20); Carol Camper, Ph.D., Associate Professor of English (15); Marguerita Grecco, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (15); Raymond Recht, M.F.A., Professor of Theatre Arts (15); Rosanna Rivera '93, B.A., Financial Aid Technical Assistant (15); Yu-Yin Cheng, Ph.D., Associate Professor of History (10); Anthony Ferro '01, M.F.A., Associate Professor of Dance (10); Daniel Irizarry, Maintenance Mechanic (10); Kathleen LeBesco, Ph.D., Professor of Communicaton Arts (10); David Mold, M.F.A., Associate Professor of Theatre Arts (10); Cheryl Paradis '79, Psy.D., Associate Professor of Psychology (10); and Michael Salmon, M.Sc., Dean of Academic Advisement (10).
 |  |  Mary Fleischer, Ph.D., Professor of Theatre Arts, accepts an engraved clock from President Judson R. Shaver, Ph.D., as a token of appreciation for her 30 years of service to the College.
| | Honorees were presented with a plaque. A special salute was given to Mona Cutolo, M.A., Associate Professor of Psychology, who has been a member of the MMC community for 40 years. During her tenure with the College, Cutolo served as Director of the Urban Studies Program and introduced the first credit internships at the College in the 1970s.
