The Internet is essentially a network of networks that links millions of private and public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope. The importance of the Internet is unquestionable in today’s work world. Similarly it is equally important to be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office is made up of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which are all programs frequently used in business, as well as out of the office.
The “Career Workshop Series: Workshop 2 – Computer Skills Seminar” will teach you the very basic components of each program and help you to become a more appealing job candidate. We will also touch on the concept of social networking. Many people are finding it easier and more convenient to connect virtually with each other. We will provide you with the basic skills to set up your own social networking page, as well as discuss how you can get connected by learning how to surf the web.
