Marymount Manhattan to Host Homecoming 2009/Family and Friends Weekend

(New York, NY) – Marymount Manhattan College is hosting Homecoming 2009/Family and Friends Weekend, October 23 – 25. The three-day celebration promises something for everyone.

Some of the events scheduled include faculty and staff panel discussions, campus tours, walking tours of the neighborhood, a flag football game, a talent show and the Mainstage Theatre Production of Girl Gone. Carol L. Jackson, Ph.D., Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students says “We look forward to having MMC alumni and the family and friends of our current students be part this very exciting weekend. This event fosters interaction between the entire MMC Community, families and friends,” Jackson said. “It is an opportunity to be a part of the Marymount Manhattan experience.”
Rooms in New York City’s Bentley Hotel, have been set aside especially for MMC visitors. The following special rates are available:
Single/Double: $249 per night (1-2 persons/1 bed)
Two double beds: $269 per night (2-3 persons/2 beds)
Deluxe Suite: $329 per night (3 persons/(1 king bed and a pull out sofa -queen size)
These rates apply for any dates from Thursday, October 22 until checkout on Monday, October 26. Reservations can be made by calling 1-888-664-6835 or 212-644-6000. Ask to make reservations under G# 1131 at the Bentley Hotel for Marymount Homecoming Weekend. (Rates do not include taxes of 14.75% plus $3.50 per room, per night and for deluxe suite $5.50 per room, per night. Taxes subject to change). This group rate is only available until September 22 or until the room block has been depleted. The Bentley Hotel is located at 500 East 62nd Street, New York, NY 10021.
