"Half the World Deserves a Whole Voice: Gender Dimensions of Women, Peace, and Security" will feature a United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) panel discussion on September 30. Presented by the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the United States National Committee, the panel will discuss the need to address sexual and other violence against women in armed conflict and stress the importance of women's inclusion in conflict resolution and peace-building. Students who are interested in activism or social justice as a career path are encouraged to come. The event is free for Marymount Manhattan College participants.
