MMC’s Division of Accounting and Business Management presents "The Value of Values," a lecture focusing on the role of consumer insights and strategy in advertising. Speaker and strategic planner Ben Anderson will explore how advertisers are responding to shifts in consumers’ values due to the recession and trends in sustainability. Careers in advertising will also be discussed.
Before Anderson joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a strategic planner in 2007, he spent his career as an educator, first as an English teacher in Japan and then as a second grade teacher in Brooklyn. Using his special understanding of children and parents, he has delivered insights to a number of consumer goods brands. Ben has also conducted thought leadership endeavors in the planning department, including The Journey of Youth, a deep-dive exploration into what it means to be a kid today and Growing Up Digital, an in-depth field research project on why and how families use the internet.
