Join The Writing Center for a lecture featuring the Leila Hadley Luce writer-in-residence, Christopher Lehmann-Haupt, on March 18. For 35 years, author, journalist, critic and novelist Lehmann-Haupt was the senior daily book reviewer for The New York Times. From 1965 until 2000, he wrote more than 4,000 book reviews and articles on every subject from trout fishing to Persian archeology. In April 2000, he assumed the job of chief obituary writer for The Times, a position he held until 2006. He is presently the editorial director of Delphinium Press. His books include Me and Joe DiMaggio, A Crooked Man, and The Mad Cook of Pymatuning.
