The Student Government Association, along with the MMC Historians Association, GoGreen Coalition and Senior Marshals, encourage all students, staff, faculty and alumni to participate in MMC Day of Action, a day of volunteering throughout New York City. On Saturday, April 10, volunteers will meet at the 55th Street Residence Hall in the morning, and after a light breakfast, they will move to various volunteer sites across Manhattan, including DeWitt Clinton Park in Hell's Kitchen and St. Francis Xavier Mission on West 15th Street.

At DeWitt Clinton Park, volunteers will prepare the grounds for spring, by mulching, raking and garbage pick-up. At St. Francis Xavier Mission, volunteers are helping to set-up and takedown the People’s Choice Food Pantry, as well as directly interacting with needy families by bagging food, manning food stations, and assisting families in selecting from clothing donations. A maximum of 10 volunteers will be taken to this site. The Food Pantry is a monthly event that helps needing families providing them with basic food and clothing supplies.

Click here to sign up. Volunteers will be provided t-shirts and necessary supplies for the event.
