You are cordially invited to join the Marymount Manhattan College Alumni Association for the 34th Annual Honors Colloquium at the College. Honors Day was instituted as a way for students from all disciplines to present exceptional research papers, artistic achievements and original works. Presenters are elected and voted upon by a distinguished faculty committee. The day will also include new inductions into our Honor Societies. Please see the schedule below. A schedule for student presentations will be available in the next two weeks.
9:00 – 9:45 a.m.: Alpha Chi Induction (Faculty Advisor: Carrie-Ann Biondi)
10:00 – 10:30 a.m.: Opening Ceremony (Theresa Lang Theatre)
10:30 – 11:30 a.m.: Honors Day Brunch (Great Hall)
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Pi Sigma Alpha Induction (Faculty Advisor: Kent Worcester)
2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Kappa Delta Pi (Faculty Advisor: Clare Lowell)
3:00 – 4:00 p.m.: Sigma Tau Delta Induction (Faculty Advisor: Peter Naccarato)
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.: Sigma Beta Delta Induction (Faculty Advisor: Andrea Tsentides)
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.: Lambda Pi Eta Induction (Faculty Advisor: Corey Liberman)
During last year's Honors Day, Jasmina Bogdanovich '11 presented her project, “Structural Insights into DNA Polymerase X from African Swine Fever Virus in the Presence of OXOG Lesions,” sponsored by Associate Professor of Chemistry Benedetta Sampoli-Benitez, Ph.D.
