Our interdisciplinary Theatre Production Workshop Dialogue Series continues Tuesday, March 15 with a discussion about MMC’s mainstage musical, Sweet Charity. The series will feature the following panelists. Lee Roy Reams made his Broadway debut in Sweet Charity in 1966 as an ensemble member and played the character of the “Spanish Man.” He went on to appear in many Broadway shows, including 42nd Street (original Billy Lawlor); Hello, Dolly!; La Cage aux Folles; and The Producers, and he directed and choreographed the last Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! Dana Moore appeared in the revival Sweet Charity, a production that starred Debbie Allen and Bebe Neuwirth. Jeff Shade is a guest director for the MMC production of Sweet Charity. A performer and choreographer, he danced in Sweet Charity on Broadway (as directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse), and most recently choreographed for the MMC Dance Department’s mainstage concert last fall. Sam Wasson is the author of A Splurch in the Kisser: The Movies of Blake Edwards; and Fifth Avenue, 5AM: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and The Dawn of the Modern Woman; and is working on a biography of Bob Fosse.
This event is free and open to the entire MMC community and to the public; everyone is welcome to attend. No reservations are required for this event.
