Feb. 21: MMC Presents an Evening with UN Women's Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women

February 21, 2012
Date: Tuesday, February 21
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Location: Regina Peruggi Room
Contact: Professor Michelle Ronda at mronda@mmm.edu

Two speakers from UN Women's Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women will describe the process and share success stories of this most remarkable program in the Regina Peruggi Room on Fenruary 21. The United Nations Trust Fund in support of actions to eliminate violence against women (UN Trust Fund) is a unique grant-making mechanism working to end the global pandemic of violence against women and girls. Managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system, the Fund convenes expertise and resources from within the UN and beyond, and provides vital linkages needed for supporting local-level actions. The UN Trust Fund awards grants annually through an open and competitive process and places emphasis on supporting actions where it matters most - at local and community levels.
