Both MMC Students and Alums Presented their Research at the Annual EPA Conference

Many current students and alums from the Psychology Department presented their research at the annual Eastern Psychological Association at the Marriot Hotel in Manhattan on March 2 and 3. Graduates came from Portland, Chicago, Boston, and Baltimore to present their Marymount Manhattan College research at this special event. Students were mentored by Prof. Nava Silton, Prof. Linda Solomon, Prof. Sarah Weinberger-Litman, Prof. Henry Solomon and Prof. Cheryl Paradis. Students presented on a wide range of topics and some of the project titles were: "From MySpace to Facebook: Age and perception of internet predator risk", "Fostering positive behavioral intentions and cogntivie attitudes of typical children towards children with disabilities", "Need for structure and sociopolitcal activism", "The relationship between perceived risk, HIV testing, and safe sex behaviors among college students", "The effect of music on college students' cognitive processes", and "Attitudes towards substance abuse and acquaintance rape victims."
