MMC Students Go to Greece Through Niarchos Foundation Grant

(New York, NY) Two Marymount Manhattan students will be the first to participate in an exchange with the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) in Greece, thanks to a grant to MMC from the Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation.

The two-year grant for nearly $300,000 invites collaboration between MMC and ACT through a student exchange, a faculty exchange, support for two ACT students to complete two years of study at Marymount Manhattan, and the creation of a video conferencing facility.

The two students selected to participate in the Fall 2005 student exchange are Ryan Francis '07 and Jamie Farrell '06. Mr. Francis is an International Studies major at MMC. Ms. Farrell is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre. The MMC faculty exchange representative will be determined later this summer.
