(New York, N.Y.) On Monday, September 18, Marymount Manhattan College will honor New York business leader Peter Pappas at its Third Annual Golf Tournament. This year's tournament will be held at the prestigious Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., home of the 2006 United States Open. Proceeds from the tournament will go to priority needs for the College. Originally scheduled for August 28 and rained out, the tournament was rescheduled for September 18.
Mr. Pappas is the CEO/President of P.J. Mechanical Corp. and owner of Delta Sheet Metal and Expert Insulation. A devoted member of the Greek-American community of New York, Mr. Pappas recently opened the well-reviewed Greek restaurant, Parea, located in the Flatiron District.
"Mr. Pappas is a valued community leader, a successful businessman and a devoted educator," said Judson R. Shaver, Ph.D., president of Marymount Manhattan College. "The College is honored to award him with MMC's 2006 Leadership Award."
