THEATRE: The Old Law (A New Way to Please You)

MMC Theatre Production Workshop presents The Old Law or A New Way to Please You, by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley. First produced in 1618, it is a tragicomic look at the generation gap, ageism, law vs. justice, political corruption, and a host of other contemporary issues. After centuries of neglect, the play was successfully revived by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2005.

This production is performed by students in the Theatre Arts programs of the College with direction by Elizabeth Swain, scenic design by Sarah Lambert, costume design by Kirche Leigh Zeile, lighting design by Ray Recht, choreography by Haila Strauss, music direction by Donna Cribari, and voice & text coaching by Tom Marion.

When: October 11 – 14 at 8 p.m., October 15 at 2 p.m. An opening night reception will follow the performance on October 11.
Where: The Theresa Lang Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College
Tickets: General admission: $10; senior citizens, students, alumni with valid ID: $5; TDF vouchers accepted. Admission is free for MMC students, faculty, and staff with valid MMC ID cards.
