MMC Alumni Event at the Tribeca Film Festival: Doubletime

Join Marymount Manhattan College in attending the Tribeca Film Festival. Alumni are invited to a screening of Doubletime on Thursday, May 3rd at 8:00 p.m. The movie will be shown at Regal Cinemas Battery Park 11 102 North End Avenue (at Vesey Street). There will also be a question and answer session with the movie’s director, Stephanie Johnes, after the film. Please meet me outside the movie theatre at 7:15 p.m. sharp. I will be holding a MMC sign.
When: Thursday, May 3rd, 2007. We will meet at 7:15 p.m. and the movie begins at 8:00 p.m.
How much: Each ticket is $14.00 (please note there is a limit to 2 tickets per person)

Chronicling the world of competitive jump roping, this energetic documentary follows two teenage teams that combine dance and gymnastics to breathtaking effect, as they prepare and contend for the world championship at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
Take one part dance, a bit of gymnastics, a try at the high jump and a dash of breakdance, throw it all on an obstacle course and you get Double Dutch. The athletes dedicated to this challenging form of jump roping come in all ages and from disparate places.
