Middle Eastern cultures are often misunderstood, misrepresented, and stereotyped. There is more breadth and depth to the people of this region and their arts than one exhibit could represent. This exhibit is an opportunity to see beyond whatever preconceived notions one might have about not only the arts, but also the people of this region. The artists, of varied origins, Yemeni, Egyptian, Bahrani, and Palestinian, reflect a part of the huge diversity of the geographical area known as the Middle East. Their work focuses on themes of peace, balance, spirituality, ideal worlds, humanity, and liberty.
