Master Class in Memoir and Biography

October 3, 2007
Pulitzer Prize-winner Debby Applegate will teach the art of turning historical research and the raw experience of lived life into written, publishable narrative. We will cover every part of the composition process from research to plotting to editing, focusing on traditional techniques. The class will be taught through brief readings, classroom discussion and writing exercises, and is suitable for both beginning and advanced writers.

October 3 - October 24, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. 4 sessions, $ 325, Library 1

Debby Applegate recently received the Pulitzer Prize for The Most Famous Man in America: the Biography of Henry Ward Beecher. Ms. Applegate also teaches at Yale University, where she received her PH.D. in American Studies.
