William Edwards Murray
1925-2007
William Edwards Murray was instrumental in ensuring the success that Marymount Manhattan is experiencing today.
Mr. Murray came to MMC in 1989 when the College was facing the lowest enrollments in its history. While we did not know it then, this was a pivotal year for MMC: Mr. Murray joined the Board of Trustees and became its Chairman. He held this position for 12 years until 2001, when he was elected Trustee Emeritus.
Bill Murray was always optimistic and confident that MMC could and would achieve great success, and thanks to his help, we did! All of us at Marymount Manhattan will always remember him for his vision, leadership, and generosity.
