(New York, NY) Parsons Dance’s 8th Annual Summer Intensive Showcase is the culmination of a two-week intensive for pre-professional and professional dancers.
Parsons Dance – praised around the world for its virtuosity, exceptional theatricality, athleticism, energy and accessibility – presents the culminating performance of its eighth annual New York City Summer Intensive for pre-professional and professional dancers on May 30, 2008 at 4pm. Audiences are welcome to the free performance at Marymount Manhattan College, 221 E. 71st Street (between Second and Third Avenues), in the Theresa Lang Theatre.
Admission to the performance is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are strictly required. To reserve seats, call (212) 869-9275 or email info@parsonsdance.org. Reservations will not be accepted after Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
This year’s Summer Intensive, held from May 19 – 31, 2008, will give participants the unique opportunity to study with Artistic Director David Parsons and members of Parsons Dance in the heart of the modern dance capital, New York City. Participants take classes in modern and ballet technique, the repertory of Parsons Dance, hip-hop and yoga and were offered special Professional Development seminars. The Summer Intensive is held at Marymount Manhattan College on Manhattan’s beautiful Upper East Side. Marymount Manhattan College is the official education partner of Parsons Dance.
