Opening of MMC State-of-the-Art Digital Graphic Design Room
 |
(New York, NY) Marymount Manhattan College announces the opening of their state-of-the-art Digital Graphic Design Room, the latest highlight of its Theresa Lang Center for Producing. The new facility is the result of a partnership between the Art and Communication Arts Departments and complements the Center's existing array of sound design, digital multimedia and non-linear digital editing rooms. "The partnership of Art and Communication Arts makes for an unusually rich and creative experience for our graphic designers and producers," notes Dr. Alister Sanderson, Director of the Center. The Theresa Lang Center for Producing at Marymount Manhattan is rooted in the College's liberal arts tradition and offers students a pre-professional bridge to their careers as producers of television, music, radio and the new digital media. The combination of the Center's teaching philosophy, its powerful creative resources and its striking decor (inspired by New York's high-end media production facilities) is unmatched by other undergraduate programs in the city. Students learn in small classes with professors who give them individual attention, and they have ample access to the Center's resources. Overall, the Center offers them the opportunity of developing their undergraduate education with the focus and freedom usually associated only with graduate-level study. To extend their experience in the Center for Producing, students also have access to New York City's leading design studios and media organizations through a highly successful internship program.
