Students, especially mathematics minors and those in science courses, are provided with an exceptional foundation in both analytical and quantitative skills.
The MMC Advantage
Why Choose MMC?
Students may concentrate on Mathematics through the Minor offered by the Natural Science Department. Our Minor in Mathematics is excellent for students who have enjoyed mathematics and done well in mathematics courses and wish to explore more advanced mathematical ideas. This is an excellent choice for students of any major to enhance their degree with advanced mathematical skills and knowledge base. It is also a valuable way to better prepare students for the pursuit of advanced degrees in such areas as Science, Business, Finance and Education. Learning Goals for the Minor in Mathematics Upon completing the Mathematics minor, students will be able to: - Apply mathematical algorithms correctly in solving problems.
- Solve mathematical problems requiring creativity and insight.
- Construct sound mathematical proofs.
- Communicate mathematical ideas clearly.
- Use technology appropriately in solving problems.
- Apply advanced mathematics to other disciplines.
