Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC)

CWC_Staff

Welcome

Welcome to the Counseling and Wellness Center CWC. Our office helps students handle personal and psychological problems. These problems include stress, homesickness, loneliness, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, identity issues, cultural concerns, eating concerns, low self-esteem, study problems, worries about the future, and alcohol or drug problems. Whatever is bothering you, if you can't handle it on your own, CWC is here to help.

Setting up an appointment is easy. You may call 212-774-0700 or drop by our office in Main #806. A staff member will then briefly speak to you prior to scheduling a full visit with one of our counselors. All services are free of charge and, except in rare cases such as a life-threatening emergency, completely confidential. No one outside of CWC will know about your visit.

Our staff is made up of clinical psychologists, a clinical social worker, a psychiatrist, and advanced doctoral psychology trainees. All of us are experienced in and enjoy working with students.

CWC offers a variety of services: short-term individual counseling, psychiatric services (to evaluate students for prescription medications), health and wellness workshops and programs, and referrals for care in the community. Nutrition appointments are also available on Mondays by calling 212-774-0700.

CWC is committed to working with all students from our diverse and inclusive community. Counselors are sensitive to the issues of the LGBTQ community and of students of color. All students should expect to be treated with respect and understanding.

Don't hesitate to let us know how we can be of help to you.
