MMC's new Student Health Center, located on the first floor of the 55th Street Residence Hall (231 East 55th Street), will open with the start of the Spring 2010 semester. All students, including commuters and those living at other MMC residence halls, will be able to use the Health Center free of charge with a current MMC identification card. The College is partnering with Beth Israel Medical Center/Student Health Services Network, which will manage the operations of the new student health center.

The Health Center will be open 40 hours per week: Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from

12 noon to 8 p.m. The Center will be staffed by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, as well as a medical assistant. Students may call the Health Center at 212-759-5870 to make an appointment, or they may walk in during hours of operation. After hours, students will have phone access to Beth Israel physicians 24 hours per day, seven days per week at a their triage on-call number: 212-420-2882.

Free services include diagnosis and treatment, follow-up and evaluation, blood-drawing, health education, and writing prescriptions and referrals.
