The Marymount Manhattan College Intramural Sports program began during the 2004-2005 school year. The program offers students an opportunity to relate and interact with one another in an athletic environment. Past events have included rock climbing, ice and figure skating, ice-hockey, fencing, and soccer matches. Some events are multi-week seasons while others are one-time offerings. We encourage you to take part in the activities and to get your friends involved too. You can pick up our brochure at the Office of Student Affairs, 3rd floor of Main Building. There, you can also sign up for sports that interest you. Also, any suggestions and ideas for the IM Sports program are greatly appreciated! You can submit those ideas to activities@mmm.edu.
Our goal for this program is to be able to have Marymount students sign up and participate in a variety of athletic events, both in a team/competition setting and individually. The events will take place around New York City and incorporate a variety of different disciplines. The coordinator of the Intramural Sports program will set up these programs and be responsible for finding appropriate instruction and venues. Teams (if necessary) will be organized at the time of the event and all students are encouraged to participate.
