Musical Theatre Association (MTA)
We are the M.T.A. (Musical Theatre Association). Our mission is to be a producing club and an appreciation club for both the future and past in musical theatre.
We will be screening classic musicals weekly in order to extend our knowledge of musical theatre.
We will be organizing theatre trips and museum outings that are music theatre related.
We will hold seminars open to the MMC community with special guests from the world of professional theatre.
We will be producing cabaret shows featuring the work of new music theatre writers and taking them as outreach to local nursing homes and orphanages as well as performing here at the college.
We will be producing readings and multi presentations of classic and new work.
We will be producing a black box musical in the spring.
This club will be open to all students in the college and will uphold the rules and regulations stated in the student handbook. It will provide performance and educational opportunities to a wide range of individuals.
