2012-2013 Senior Year Events and Other Important Dates

Announcements and invitations to senior year events will be sent via MMC email to seniors who have submitted their Undergraduate Application for Graduation.  Please note that seniors who have not applied to graduate, will not be admitted to some senior events. Dates and times below are subject to change. Please check your MMC email for updates.

Class Ring Sales

If you wish to purchase a class ring, a representative from Herff Jones will be available at the date and time above. Alumni have purchased class rings with the Herff Jones Company in the past, however you are not required to purchase a class ring. You can also contact Herff Jones about a ring at:

Senior Portraits for the Yearbook
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, November 26, 27, and 29, 2012 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm (by appointment)
Regina Peruggi Room
These portraits will be placed in the yearbook and will also be available for purchase. Graduating seniors who wish to have their senior portrait in the Yearbook, should schedule appointments in advance by logging into www.ouryear.com and entering school code 87196, or by calling 1-800-OUR-YEAR (1-800-687-9327) during normal business hours.

Silver M Award Applications Due
Friday, March 1, 2013
Apply for the Silver M Award. The Silver M is awarded to seniors who have shown overall leadership and involvement at the College during their years at Marymount Manhattan College. Silver Ms will be presented to students on Honors Day. Students will also receive recognition in the Commencement program. Completed applications should either be turned in to the Office of Student Affairs, located on the 8th floor of the Main Building (Room 807), or emailed to graduation@mmm.edu, by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Awards of Distinction Applications Due
Friday, March 15, 2013
Apply for Awards of Distinction, which include the MMC Crest, Trustees' Award, Rowley Founder's Medal, The Raymunde McKay Award, and the Alumni Association Medal. Descriptions and requirements for each award can be found in the application.  Please submit to graduation@mmm.edu or to the Office of Student Affairs, Suite 807. 

Graduation Ticket Requests
April 2013
Every student is allotted four (4) guest tickets to Commencement.  We will send out an email to graduating students in April if you would like to request additional tickets. Initial ticket distribution will be at Graduation Packet Pick-up.

Graduation Packet Pick-up
Monday and Tuesday, April 29 and 30, 2013 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Start at the stairs in the Black and White leading to the Regina Peruggi Room
This is one of the most important events related to graduating. All graduating seniors must pick up their Packets, which will contain: one cap, one gown, one black tassel, and guest tickets for the Commencement Ceremony.
Please note: Students must order their own attire. There is no charge to the student for this order. The charges for attire are included in the Graduation Fee.

Alumni Association Induction & Reception
Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Marymount Manhattan College, The Great Hall
The Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Institutional Advancement host this reception to congratulate you on your achievements. The awards for the Outstanding Staff and Faculty members (one from each division) will also be presented at this event.
