Curriculum Committee
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you've each had a restful summer and are looking forward to the fall term. Please see below the Curriculum Committee proposal forms for 2012-2013. There are six forms that correspond to the different kinds of proposals you may wish to submit. These are the same forms we used last year and include the cover sheet that indicates the necessary signatures you need to obtain prior to submission. Please note that you need to obtain signatures not only from your own department and division chairs, but also from faculty members consulted on the proposal. If your change/addition impacts another program, department, or division in any way, please consult with the necessary faculty members and obtain their signatures as record of that conversation. This initial work will prevent delays in reviewing your proposal.
This year the deadlines for Curriculum Proposals are as follows:
October 15th (5pm): Fall deadline for curriculum proposals of any type.
February 4th (5pm): We are adding a spring deadline in order to accommodate proposals for smaller curricular changes if the need for these arises after the October deadline. On February 4th, we will only accept proposals for Course Deletions, Catalogue Description Changes, or Prerequisite Changes. Therefore, please be certain to submit all proposals for new courses, new programs, and program/course changes by October 15th.
Submission Details: Please submit both an electronic copy of your completed proposal, as well as a hardcopy that includes all necessary signatures. You must submit these to curriculum@mmm.edu by the deadlines listed above. If possible, we would appreciate it if the electronic copy you email Lora is a scan of the proposal form that includes signatures. However, if that is not possible, please email your completed proposal.
