Charter Day 2008
Marymount Manhattan College celebrated Charter Day 2008 with a reception on Feb. 28, in the Regina Peruggi Room. The event offered MMC faculty and staff an opportunity to engage and celebrate the college's charter and recognize colleagues who have dedicated many years of service to the college.
The following individuals were recognized:
Peter Baker (Planning & Institutional Research) - 45 years
Hallie Cohen (Art) – 30 years
Lewis Frumkes (Writing Center) – 15 years
Jose Irizarry (Administration & Finance) – 15 years
Katie Langan (Dance) – 15 years
Michael Roberts (Office of Security & Safety) – 15 years
Susan Behrens (Speech Language Pathology & Audiology) – 10 years
Leslie Levin (Business Management) – 10 years
Mark Ringer (Theater Arts) – 10 years
Oscar Rosario (Office of Security & Safety) – 10 years
Lisa Velez (Admissions) – 10 years
Tammy Wofsey (Library ) – 10 years
Kenton Worcester (Social Science) – 10 years.
Honorees were presented with a plaque. A special salute was given to Peter Baker, who has been a member of the MMC Community for 45 years. President Judson R. Shaver Ph.D., presented Peter with a framed photo collage documenting his years at Marymount Manhattan. In his speech, Peter thanked everyone at the college and led the guests in a loud cheer – "Hip! Hip! Hooray!"
