Commencement 2006

Marymount Manhattan celebrated its 57th commencement ceremony on May 25, 2006 at Avery Fisher Hall in New York. Honorary degree recipients were Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Chair of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, Paul B. Guenther, Chair of the New York Philharmonic, and the late Judith Savard, RSHM, Associate Professor of Art at Marymount Manhattan College.

Valedictorian Elizabeth Nelson '06 spoke about the value of life's journey on the personal, local and global level. Gregory Lynch '06 served as class speaker, and entertained graduates with a humorous recap of the experiences they shared during their four years at MMC.

Marymount Manhattan granted approximately 390 Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees at the ceremony.
