Leadership Awards Banquet 2010


On May 14, 2010, Marymount Manhattan College held its 7th Annual Leadership Awards Banquet in the Great Hall. The event was hosted by the Office of Student Development and Activities under the Division of Student Affairs.

Awards were presented to the following winners: Jacob Webber (Outstanding Peer Leader), Evan Johnson (Outstanding Volunteer), Josh Hashmi (Athlete of the Year), Hannah Hashmi (MMC Spirit Award), Kathleen Barnes (Alumni Award), Erik Shell (Outstanding New Member), Brittany Swett (Unsung Hero Award), and Sydney Zarp (Outstanding Student Leader). The Gay/Straight National Alliance Project was awarded Outstanding New Organization and the Go Green Coalition was named Outstanding Student Organization. Chris Mosier was named Advisor of the Year.

The winners of the program awards included: United Nations Millennium Development Goals Campaign Kickoff – International Studies Club (Academic Program of the Year), Day of Silence – Gay/Straight National Alliance Project (Cultural Program of the Year), MMC Day of Action – Evan Johnson, SGA (Community Service Program of the Year), The Vagina Monologues – Carly Schneider, Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (Performing Arts Program of the Year), Body Image Speaker – Deborah Giordano and SGA (Special Interest Program of the Year), and MMC Day of Action – Evan Johnson, SGA was awarded Overall Program of the Year.
