Parents Orientation 2010
More than 600 parents and family members attended the Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) Parents Orientation on August 27 – 29, 2010. Parents of new and transfer students were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the College and learn about how to assist their student as they transition into college life.
MMC Parents were introduced to President Judson R. Shaver, Ph.D. and other members of the MMC administration including Carol Jackson, Ph.D., Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students and David Podell, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty.
The College hosted the orientation in the Theresa Lang Theatre, which included a student panel discussion and Q & A moderated by Diana Zambrotta '09, special events coordinator. The reception featured refreshments and a performance by the Soldiers of Hip Hop, one of many student clubs at the College.
