2008 Writers' Conference

The 2008 Writers' Conference and Intensives, presented by The Writing Center at Marymount Manhattan College, was funded by the Brand Foundation of New York. The Conference took place at the College on June 5 and featured a series of well-known authors, editors and publishers, who spoke during a variety of workshops and panels. The Writers' Conference, organized by Writing Center Director Lewis Frumkes, included fiction, memoirs and literary agents workshops. It featured Jamie Malanowski as a keynote speaker and Stuart Woods as a grand luncheon keynote. The afternoon hosted a panel for editors, nonfiction, children's books, publicity, mystery, ghostwriters, humor and other topics. The event closed with a networking reception.
