The mission of the MMC Parents Committee is to serve the parents of students at Marymount Manhattan by building a partnership that helps parents stay informed about issues and programs at the College. The Committee also seeks to develop and nurture life-long relationships between the College and parents of current students and alumni by:
Working with departments across the College to better serve the needs of parents;
Increasing the financial resources of the College by developing and managing the Parents Fund in support of the Annual Appeal; and
Serving as a resource for parents with questions or concerns about MMC.
All parents of Marymount Manhattan College students are eligible to serve on the MMC Parents Committee, which sponsors parent-oriented activities each year, such as the Parents Reception in the spring and Parents Weekend in the fall. Parents Weekend, sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, offers a chance for parents to visit the campus, hear from MMC's faculty and staff, and see what College life is like for their children. The Committee meets twice a year and is made up of parents of students in each currently enrolled class. Committee members are regularly involved in career development and fundraising activities.
