Honors Day
Each spring, the Academic Honors Committee and the Alpha Chi Honor Society sponsor an Honors Day at Marymount Manhattan College. This day is dedicated solely to the celebration of excellence at our institution; it seeks to build awareness among students of the importance of intellectual achievement within the academic community. Honors Day provides an opportunity to showcase the talents of individual faculty and the excellent work achieved in their classrooms through the sharing of scholarly and creative work. The events of the day center on the Honors Colloquium, where selected students present research papers, creative projects (such as works of fine and performing art), and scientific projects to the College community. Honors Day also features ceremonies to induct deserving students into the College's honor societies.
The 2013 Honors Day Celebration and 36th Annual Honors Colloquium will be held on March 14, 2013.
