Business Management Curriculum
The Business Management Department shares the College's commitment to a liberal arts education. To this end, students participate in the College's general education curriculum and are actively encouraged to explore learning outside the business division. The major provides students with thorough training in all areas of business management. In addition, each student acquires in-depth training by choosing courses from one of the following concentrations: Finance and Investments, Human Resources and Industrial/Organizational Psychology, International Business and Economics, and Marketing.
Career Opportunities
Business Management students can expect to work in management positions in personnel, brokerage firms, insurance, production, banking, marketing, hotel and motel operations, restaurants, food distribution and management, retailing, government, credit management, and nonprofit organizations. Course work in Business Management also prepares students to pursue graduate studies in business, public policy, law, and other fields.
The Concentrations and Internships
At Marymount Manhattan College, courses in business are only one part of a comprehensive education in the liberal arts.
