Sue Bernhard
Adjunct Professor, Dance Composition

is currently the Artistic Director of Sue Bernhard Danceworks. Her dances have been shown in the USA, Canada, Guatemala and Poland. Since 2001 she has been a guest choreographer for National Ballet Monderno y Folklorico de Guatemala where her work has been performed at the National Theater and International Arts Festival in Antigua. She has created pieces for Convergence/Dancers and Musicians, North Carolina School of the Arts, Meredith College, Long Island University, The Julliard School, SUNY Purchase, and The Jose Limon Institute, among others. With award winning videographer, Penny Ward, she created several video/dance collaborations. Their work, Boundaries and Exposures, was featured at the International Conference on Dance and Technology. Formerly, she performed with the Jose Limon Dance Company and for ten years with Annabelle Gamson/Dance Solos. She has set works by Jose Limon and Doris Humphrey at college and workshops. Sue is currently on faculty at The Juilliard School, SUNY Purchase and the Limon Institute and guest teaching internationally. She will be teaching this summer at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival.
