Databases - Psychology

Academic Search Premier (Ebscohost):
Contains full-text for over 3,280 scholarly publications in areas such as social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts and literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.

CQ Researcher:
Each weekly issue focuses on one currently newsworthy or controversial topic (eg. terrorism, global warming, embryo research). Provides an overview, background, bibliography and other useful features. Covers 1991 to present.

Project Muse
Project MUSE is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.

PsycBooks
A full-text database of books and chapters in the American Psychological Association’s array of quality electronic databases. It features approximately 600 books: more than 500 APA books with copyright dates from 1950-2003, including 100 out-of-print books; 75 classic books in psychology; and the exclusive electronic release of more than 1,500 entries from the APA/Oxford University Press Encyclopedia of Psychology.

PsychARTICLES:
The American Psychological Association Full-Text Article Database contains the full text of articles from APA journals and selected EPF (Educational Publishing Foundation) journals, most from 1988 to the present.

PsychINFO:
PsycINFO contains more than 1.8 million citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, all in the field of psychology. Journal coverage, which dates back to the 1800s, includes international material selected from more than 1,700 periodicals in over 30 languages. More than 60,000 records are added each year through weekly updates.
